Our pompom chicks!
(The boys really enjoyed doing this. I’ve always thought pompom chicks were so cute, but I knew the boys would crush real eggshells, so I decided to use plastic ones. Evan is so enamored with his chick that he actually plays with it, making the cracking noises of the chick hatching out of the egg as he removes the top of the shell.)
Things you need:
¨ 2 yellow 1in pompoms
¨ Plastic egg shell
¨ 2 googly eyes
¨ Orange construction paper or orange craft foam
¨ Glue
¨ Scissors

A Few of the materials you'll need
Cut a triange in the orange paper or craft foam to make a beak.
Have the child glue a yellow pompom to the inside of the bottom of the egg.

Squeezing glue in the bottom of the egg
Have the child glue the second pompom on top of the first.

Squeezing glue on the first pompom
